MAGNETEN

With a unique location directly next to the water lies Magneten (the magnet). The Danish navy used the former demagnetising station up until 2012 to demagnetise iron ships before they were to enter underwater mine fields. The old hall or lounge, where the power plant that used to generate electricity for the kilometer-long cables under water is located, has been transformed to a magnificent hall with a panoramic view over the water. Thereby the name: Panoramasalen (the Panorama hall). Moreover, we have done as much as possible to preserve the original skeleton and structure of the building and therefore the other beautiful rooms with red painted floors have as far possible been kept original. Magneten is being used for several different events and comes forward in its own unique way – you truly have to see it with your own eyes.
